My Summer

In late August, my family and I went to the northern part of the coast of the Olympic Peninsula on the Pacific Ocean to backpack from Lake Ozette to Shi Shi Beach along the beaches and around headlands (sometimes over when we did not time the tides well). It was a slightly challenging hike because it was slow sinking into the sand every step and climbing up ropes to get over headlands and jumping from rock to rock to go around them. There were many tide pool with a lot of wildlife, including this crab I found hiding between two rocks.
